For Connection, Risk Communicating
“We sometimes encounter people, even perfect strangers, who begin to interest us at first sight, all at once, before a word has been spoken.” Fyodor Dostoevsky
The lengthening light of late summer beckons autumn’s briskness.
Labor Day approaches, stealthy, sneaking up on me, again.
Autumn stalks us all.

I stumbled across this poem recently and felt moved enough to share it.
Something about what we leave unsaid, what we squeeze into acceptable air-tight containers, safe from the contaminants of life.
The risks not taken.
That, plus I’m resting from my labours today, giving my brain and back a break.
(Takes a lot of energy to be profound, don’t ‘cha know.)
Happy Labour Day, everyone. 🙂
“Communication is to relationships what breath is to life.” ~Virginia Satir
