Make It A Grand Adventure

Make It A Grand Adventure

“And now we welcome the new year. Full of things that have never been.” ~Rainer Maria Rilke

Helen Keller said, “Life is either a great adventure, or nothing.”

It can only be a great adventure if we still our insidious self-doubts and learn how to relinquish control.

Planning and preparation have a place, to be sure, and persistence pays off, but the kind of control I’m talking about is the kind that cannot trust—or is unwilling to try.

There is tremendous power to be found under the rock of dashed expectations: surrender carries freedom in its pocket, turning an anxious attitude into an adventurous one.

As the world roils amidst political flotsam and jetsam, I see trust as the only available life-jacket, and am counting my blessings.

Happy 2019, everyone.

May it be a grand adventure for you, your loved ones and the world!

Helping businesses build their people

When your people have the skills to communicate more effectively, they can connect more easily and collaborate more productively. Not only on the job, but also in life.

Communication, Connection, and Collaboration—the three “C’s”—are the cornerstones of all successful businesses. They are the result of Emotional Intelligence in action.

More details can be found in my recent best seller with co-author Jennifer Eggers:
Resilience: It’s Not About Bouncing Back

The power of resilience within organizations can transform an average company into a powerhouse. Yet, even in times of rapid disruptive change, there is no manual for building resilient organizations. This book is that manual.

“If you  want to build more resilience intentionally—personally and professionally—read this book.
